Daniel is the managing partner of the firm.

Daniel Weinhold is the managing partner of Weinhold Legal. He has experience in both domestic and international commercial law. Apart from his general commercial law practice, he is focused on providing legal services in the area of mergers and acquisitions and banking and financial services. Daniel also has extensive experience with restructurings and transformations and has an impressive litigation and arbitration record, in particular representation related to commercial and investment disputes and tax issues.

He has been involved in work for major international, Czech and Slovak institutions and companies including among others: ENEL, Vivendi/Veolia, ExxonMobil, Goldman Sachs, Taisei, Société Générale/KB, ChevronTexaco, General Electric, KBC/ČSOB , Citibank, UniCredit, Hachette, SABMiller/Pilsner Urquell, CME, Vodafone, Skanska, Agip, Mitsui, Vinci/Eurovia, Deutsche Bahn, News Corporation, Erste Bank/ČS, Czech Post, BNP, Czech Coal, Textron and the Ministries of Defence (Czech), Finance (Czech and Slovak), Transportation (Czech), Interior (Czech), Environment (Czech).

Daniel is the author of the book “Statute barring and time limitation in private law” published by C.H.Beck, Prague, 2015, the author of the book “Statute barring and time limitation in commercial legal relationships” published by C.H.Beck, Prague, 2000 (2nd ed. 2002, 3rd ed. 2009), the co-author of the Large Commentary on the New Czech Civil Code published by Leges, Prague, 2014, was the co-author of Czech sections of the International Comparative Legal Guides to Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Governance, chapter Security instruments under Czech law, published by the Financier Worldwide’s Private Equity e-book, overview published under the Country Guide to Slovakia covering Securities & Banking, a publication of Complinet, a Thomson Reuters company.In addition to lecturing on various topics in commercial law,

Daniel has contributed to various legislative initiatives. He is also the chair of the Expert Group of the Public Procurement Platform created in 2010 by the heads of all significant political parties, relevant public institutions and business associations, in an effort to increase the transparency and effectiveness of the public tender process. He is a member of the Advisory Board (Kolegium ministryně) of the Minister for Regional Development and a member of the Expert Group for Public Procurement of the Ministry for Regional Development. Daniel was a member of the former Takeover Panel for the Czech Securities Commission, a member of the Specialised Board of Appeal of the Minister of Finance, a member of the Advisory Board of the Minister of the Interior for combating corruption, a member of the Inter-Agency Coordination Board of the Ministry of the Interior for combating corruption.

Daniel became the first ever holder of the AmCham Wings Award by the American Chamber of Commerce. He is recommended by the publisher Who’s Who Legal in the editions of The International Who´s Who of Commercial Litigators&nbsp(2012-2015, 2022-2023), M&A and Governance Lawyers (2010, 2011, 2013 – 2019), Banking Lawyers (2012 – 2014), Project Finance Lawyers (2012), and Private Funds Lawyers (2010). Daniel was ranked as a runner-up in the categories of Banking and Finance for the Lawyer of the Year 2005 competition, and in the category of Financial and Banking Law and in the category of Commercial Law of the Lawyer of the Year 2007 competition, organized by epravo.cz under the patronage of the Czech Bar Association.

Daniel graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles University in Prague (JUDr. degree) and after further studies obtained his Ph.D. degree. He is a Czech qualified attorney at law, registered on the List of Attorneys kept by the Czech Bar Association (Česká advokátní komora) and is also a member of the Slovak Bar Association (Slovenská advokátní komora).

Milan is a partner and head of the firm’s dispute resolution and labour law group.

Milan specialises in corporate law and legal advice in litigation and arbitration. Additionally, he oversees labour law issues at Weinhold Legal. Milan joined Weinhold Legal in 1998.

Milan has been involved in work for major international and Czech companies including among others: Aral, COLAS, UniCredit Bank, Gardena, OMV, Pioneer, Plzeňská energetika, Plzeňský Prazdroj, Shell, Wagon Automotive, Winslow Partners, METROSTAV and Komerční banka.

Milan is mentioned among leading lawyers by Chambers Global a Chambers Europe in Dispute Resolution and Arbitration. Milan holds a Master’s degree from the Law Faculty from Charles University in Prague and is admitted to the Czech Bar Association. Milan is also an arbitrator with the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic where he determines domestic and international arbitrations under both, the procedural rules of the local court as well as the internationally accepted UNCITRAL and ICC arbitration rules. He is a member of the Arbitration Panel in the Český svaz ledního hokeje and the Justice Board of The Champions Hockey League.

Milan is a contributor to the book “Aus- und Absonderungsrechte in der Insolvenz” published by Verlag für Rechts- und Anwaltspraxis, Berlin and publishes regularly in specialist press.

Milan was also a member of the expert committee established by the Czech Ministry of Justice in relation to re-codification of civil law.

Milan speaks German and English as well as his native Czech.

Martin is a partner at Weinhold Legal and head of the firm’s IT and IP group (TMT).

Martin began to work at Weinhold Legal in 1998 and since that time has participated in a number of major projects in the areas of corporate law, M&A, litigation and arbitration, IP/IT law, competition law and public procurement.

Martin has participated in several legislative initiatives, inter alia, co-operated on a project that produced a study for the European Commission, which examined the implementation and functioning of European companies („Societas Europaea“ – SE) in Member States of the EU/EEA, and was also a member of the expert working groups for local development in preparing amendments to the Public Procurement Act.

Martin has been named in leading international legal referral lists and yearbooks such as Legal 500 (in the area of telecommunications, media & technology), European Legal Experts (in the areas of IP, IT, telecommunications and publications), Media Law International (in the area of media law) and PLC Which lawyer? (as a leading lawyer in the area of media & telecommunications and environmental law with regard to renewable energy sources). Martin graduated from Prague’s University of Economics in 1998 and from the Law Faculty of Prague’s Charles University in 2000. He is an attorney at law registered since 2003 in the List of Attorneys of the Czech Bar Association.

Anna Bartůňková is an associate partner at Weinhold Legal and joined the firm in 2014.

Anna specialises in labour law as well as in representing clients before courts and at arbitral proceedings. In addition, she provides advice on commercial and civil law.

Anna has advised major international and Czech clients including, among others, ExxonMobil Business Support Center Czechia, Komerční banka, Metrostav, OHL ŽS, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Česká republika, W.A.G. payment solutions, GE Healthcare, Steelcase Czech Republic, Moravia Cans and Česká pošta.

Anna also publishes professional articles in legal magazines, both in print and on-line mainly in the area of labour law, but also on other topics in the area of private law. The Legal 500 referred to Anna in its list of recommended law firms in the area of Employment.

Anna graduated from Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Law in 2005 and later was awarded a Doctor of Laws (JUDr.) degree. During her studies she also spent a semester on a legal study program at Paris Lodron University in Salzburg, Austria. Anna is an attorney at law registered in the List of Attorneys of the Czech Bar Association. Anna is also an arbitrator with the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic.

Zbyšek Kordač is an associate partner at Weinhold Legal and joined the firm in 2006. He primarily focuses on representing clients of Weinhold Legal before courts, arbitral and insolvency proceedings. In addition, he provides legal services on a regular basis covering a wide range of areas within commercial and civil law.

Zbyšek has been with Weinhold Legal since 2006. He has participated in projects for a number of domestic and international clients, such as Metrostav, Komerční banka, Raiffeisenbank, Subterra, OHL ŽS, Česká Spořitelna, Grandi Stazioni, Ministerstvo financí ČR, Lordship, Discovery Group, McKinsey, International property Invest, OVB Allfinanz, UniCredit Bank, Siemens, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Cash Reform, Plus-Discount, GE Healthcare, ExxonMobil and Winslow Partners.

In 2006, Zbyšek graduated with a Master of Laws degree (Mgr.) from the Charles University Faculty of Law in Prague. In 2008, he defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Arbitration: The Issue of Arbitrability”, and was awarded a Doctor of Laws (JUDr.) degree. In 2008/2009, Zbyšek studied at the University of San Francisco School of Law, USA. Upon successful completion of the program “International Transactions and Comparative Law”, he was awarded a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. He was awarded another Master of Laws degree at Queen Mary University of London after graduating from „Comparative and International Dispute Resolution“ program in 2012.

Zbyšek teaches as an external lecturer at the Charles University Law Faculty. He was a member of the Ministry of Justice’s working group for preparation of Act on Mediation and working group for preparation of amendment of the Act on Arbitration. Zbyšek‘s published several articles in legal magazines and on the Internet. Through his publishing activities, he focuses particularly on arbitration, mediation and other associated issues in the area of private law.

Zbyšek has been repeatedly representing the Czech Republic at UNCITRAL Working Group II on Arbitration and Conciliation.

Zbyšek is an attorney-at-law registered with the Czech Bar Association and an attorney-in-law in California, USA, registered with the State Bar of California (inactive status). He successfully passed New York Bar Exam as well. Zbyšek is listed on the List of Practitioners of the Vienna International Arbitral Centre and serves as an arbitrator with the Arbitration Court attached to the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic and the Agricultural Chamber of the Czech Republic. In 2022, the European Commission included Zbyšek on the list of suitable arbitrators for investment disputes. In 2023, Zbyšek has been elected as an arbitrator by the Board of the National Court of Arbitration for Sport.
